Tunisia, Egypt, Nigeria … Following to their qualification for the 2018 World Cup, which will start next June, several African teams have asked CAF to postpone the second day of the CAN 2019 qualifiers scheduled for next March.

They will use this period to schedule friendly matches. A request to which the governing body of African football has acceded.

“African teams (qualified) for the World Cup will now have the FIFA World Cup window for friendly matches after the CAF Executive Committee approved a proposal from Nigeria that asked for the CAN qualifications 2019 set for this period will be moved in October 2018, “Super Eagles spokeswoman Toyin Ibitoye told AFP.
